Eleven More Dancers and Employees to Join Lawsuit Against Popular Men's Club

Fifty Employees and Supporters to Gather Outside Flamingo Night Club to Publicize Addition of New Plaintiffs to Lawsuit

               
What: Dancers and workers gather in front of the club to raise awareness about the lawsuit against Flamingo Nightclub. 
 
Dancers will describe an elaborate system of fines and punishments and abominable working conditions, including: a requirement to pay money to their employer to work, total failure to pay any wages, and no right to any meal or rest breaks during long shifts. They will also provide information to the community about how to access legal services if they believe there are labor violations at their workplaces.
 
Eleven new employeeswill announce that they have joined the lawsuit against Edith D'Angelo, owner of Flamingo Night Club, and her husband, Luis Ruiz, for over a million dollars in back wages and damages, including damages for battery.  Flamingo (officially called "Edita's Bar and Restaurant") is one of the most popular men's night clubs in Jackson Heights, New York, where female employees dance with male clientele for $2.00 per song.
